Tazewell Community Hospital Foundation
- $500.00 – in support of construction costs of the new Four Seasons Wellness Center facility.
Mercer County Sexual Assault Task Force - $500.00 – in support of a training conference on April 30 for local colleges – Day meeting – Douglas Center, Princeton, WV; Evening meeting – Concord College

Mercer Health Right, Inc. - $379.41 – Donor Designated Fund.
Princeton Community Hospital Foundation - $500.00 – in support of special videos for new mothers and caregivers to serve 400+ women from Mercer, McDowell and surrounding counties.
Pikeview High School - $500.00 – in support of instructional and learning devices for teen pregnancy prevention and to meet demands of pregnancy and responsible parenting in Mercer County.
Tazewell County Prenatal Project - $500.00 – for replacement of teaching equipment and purchase of additional items in the teen pregnancy prevention program.
Tri-County Health Clinic (Richlands, VA) - $300.00 – in support of the purchase of diabetic strips for clinic patients.
Education
Bluefield College
- $600.00 - in support of the second annual Fine Arts Camp for children ages 6 – 12 for one week in the summer of 2004. This grant is to help reduce registration costs and make the camp more affordable to area families.
The Education Alliance, Inc.- $500.00 - continued support to fund four new mini grants and expand Read to Me/Read Aloud program to children K- 12 in Mercer County.
Glenwood School - $850.00 - in support of start-up costs for "Accelerated Reader" program for grades 3 – 5 to improve reading skills.
Princeton Senior High School - $500.00 - in support of the "Virtual Business Management" simulation to benefit approximately 120 students.
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic - $500.00 – in support of the Tazewell Literacy Initiatives for K – 12 grades with visual or perceptual disabilities to provide digital playback equipment headsets and software in Tazewell County public schools.
Human Services
Bluefield Community Center
- $259.81 – Donor Designated Fund
Bluefield, WV Fire Department - $600.00 – special equipment for fire prevention program.
CASE – Healthy Families - $500.00 – in support of costs of 20 educational videos for new and expectant families (to be maintained in Bluefield Office).
City of Bluefield - $500.00 – support toward the cost of licensing fee for participation in the CNBC "Eye on Technology" program.
Community Connections (Bluefield, WV) - $500.00- in support of the 10th Annual Kiddie Fair on May 4 for screenings and immunizations to serve approximately 400 children and/or families in Mercer County.
Counseling and Consultation Services (Tazewell,VA) - $500.00 – in support of costs of equipment and supplies for services to children and families impacted by sexual abuse trauma in Tazewell County.
Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council - $500.00 – further support to the Whitethorn Elementary School (Bluefield) program and the addition to Straley Elementary (Princeton, WV).
Mercer County Habitat for Humanity - $1,000.00 – in support of costs for new tools and ladders.
Mercer County Spay Association - $500.00 – in support of program to spay animals and subsidize costs for owners unable to pay entire fee.
Partners in Praise/Camp Praise (Matoaka/Lashmeet Area) - $500.00 – to construct concrete slab with brick fire pit in middle to meet needs of wheelchair visitors.
Pet Haven and Rescue Center, Inc. (Falls Mills, VA) - $500.00 – for replacement of windows in facility.
Arts and Humanities
Bramwell Foundation
- $259.81 – Donor Designated Fund
Bramwell Theatre - $500.00 – in support of effort to keep admissions low enough to accommodate patrons unable to pay higher prices.
Concord College Foundation - $500.00 – in support of costs to hire professional artist for Carillon Concert.
Historic Crab Orchard Museum and Pioneer Park, Inc. (Tazewell, VA) - $1,000.00 – in support of costuming and interpretation supplies for new Living History Program.
