UNRESTRICTED FUNDS
This Community Fund provides the Grants Committee and Board of Directors with the most latitude and flexibility in responding to changing community needs.
THE AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER COMMUNITY SERVICES FUND
This Donor Advised Fund was established in 2002 as a “Build a Fund” to fund grants to non-profit organizations for the purpose of health, hunger and housing.
THE AMMAR FAMILY MEMORIAL FUND
For the purpose of beatification in the Bluefield area, including Mercer and Tazewell Counties.

To support changing community needs.
THE FANNIE KATE AND BETTY GARDNER BAILEY FUND
Betty Gardner Bailey established this Donor Advised Fund in 1995 in memory of her mother, Fannie Kate Gardner Bailey. This fund seeks to encourage and foster the Arts and Humanities.
THE B. G. AND RACHEL BLALOCK FUND
This Donor-Designated Fund supports Bible in the Schools.
THE BLUEFIELD COLLEGE FUND
To provide scholarship assistance to students of Mercer and Tazewell County.
THE BLUEFIELD DAILY TELEGRAPH LITERACY FUND
To promote literacy initiatives within the Daily Telegraph’s market area.
THE BLUEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL ENDOWMENT FUND
Supports all facets of the educational and instructional programs and activities.
BLUEFIELD HIGH SCHOOLS’ ALUMNI FUND
This is a “Build a Fund” to benefit programs at Bluefield High School and/or scholarships. Graduates of Park Central and BHS united to build this fund.
BLUEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1956
This is a build a fund that will provide assistance to the school for emerging needs.
BLUEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL FUND FOR THE ARTS
This pass-through fund was established to support the Bluefield High School Band.
ALFRED AND SHIRLEY WAMPLER CAUDILL FUND
This fund will support educational activities at all levels.
COMMUNITY ACTION GRANT FUND
This Donor-Designated Fund supports Christian Organizations and programs to benefit the community.
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF THE VIRGINIAS, INC. ADMINISTRATIVE FUND
To defray administrative expenses.
THE ENNIO AND ROSA CORTE FAMILY FUND
This is a “Build a Fund”
EAST RIVER MOUNTAIN H.O.G. #5432
Established in September 2005 by the Harley Owners Group for a scholarship to children of emergency service workers who were killed in the line of duty or died as a result of injuries.
THE RUTH CREASY AND A. ELMO FLESHMAN FUND
To develop the self-worth and character of female youth in the area.
THE E. R. GILLESPIE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
To provide scholarship assistance to deserving high school graduates.
THE GLENWOOD PARK, INC. GOLDEN CROSS RESIDENT ASSISTANCE FUND
To provide financial assistance to residents when it is evident they can no longer remain in Assisted Living, based on income.
THE GRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Provides scholarship assistance to seniors from Graham High School.
THE HANCOCK FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
This new fund is to provide scholarships to seniors at Bluefield High School.
THE HARMAN LODGE #222 A.F. & A.M SCHOLARSHIP FUND
To provide scholarship assistance to seniors from Graham High School or a high school in Masonic District 45 of Tazewell County.
THE MAX L. AND VIRGINIA S. KAMMER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Seniors who plan to major in one of the seventeen curricula at WVU’s College of Agriculture and Forestry are eligible.
THE JUDGE JEROME AND HILDA R. KATZ MEMORIAL FUND
Income from this Fund will be used to benefit the youth of our area.
THE RALPH H. AND SHIRLEY D. KISER FAMILY FUND
This fund was established in 2005 in memory of Steve Kiser and in honor of Scott and Angela Kiser and Kim Kiser Gallins. This is a scholarship for low-income, Mercer County students planning to attend Bluefield College.
KENDRICK SCHOLARSHIP FUND
To provide scholarship assistance to worthy students who will attend Concord University.
THE JANIE POTEET LIGHT FUND FOR ART STUDIES
This Fund seeks to support programs and projects that encourage artistic ambitions.
THE ALEX B. MAHOOD, JR. SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Grants from this fund will provide assistance to seniors from Bluefield High School and Graham High School.
THE FUND FOR MERCER COUNTY
Grants from this Fund support non-profit agencies and organizations that serve low-income Mercer County residents.
THE SANDRA GAYLE MONK MEMORIAL FUND
This fund was established for the benefit and care of the mentally retarded and physically handicapped citizens of Mercer County, West Virginia.
MOUNTAIN HEART FOUNDATION
Provides financial assistance to local children who suffer heart disease or have undergone heart surgery to attend Camp Mountain Heart, a summer camp.
THE SYLVESTER C. AND JANICE M. MYERS FUND
This fund supports the Bluefield Community Center.
THE CHARLES E. AND JERRY ANN MYLES FUND
This fund supports Mercer Health Right.

ROY R. RAUB, M.D. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This fund is to provide scholarship assistance to seniors from Mercer, Tazewell, Buchanan and McDowell Counties.
JEFFREY EDWARD SHOTT MEMORIAL FUND
This fund was established in 2005 in memory of Jeffrey Edward Shott to assist in programs that benefit the youth of the area.
ROSE SINICROPE SCHOLARSHIP
To provide scholarship assistance to seniors of Princeton Senior High School, who are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton.

Provides scholarship assistance to graduating seniors from Bluefield High School and/or Graham High School.
THE DOCTOR JACK WALTER WITTEN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Provides scholarship assistance for those who attend the Tazewell County Career and Technical Center Trade and Industrial Courses.
The William G. Skewes Memorial Scholarship Fund
A perpetual scholarship fund for educational purposes to provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Mercer, McDowell and Tazewell County schools who plan to attend school or college in those counties, pursuing an engineering degree.
The James and Rebecca Steorts Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarship assistance to graduating seniors from Mercer, Wyoming , McDowell, and Tazewell Counties who plan to attend Concord University.
